My name is Stephen S. Wallace, my friends call me Steve, and I am a dedicated South Carolina real estate professional working with Sun City home buyers and Sun City house sellers in Sun City Hilton Head as well as Bluffton and Hilton Head Island. I am the son of a Broker and Realtor®. My father, God rest his soul, was a partner in one of the largest real estate firms in the state of CT. My personal goal is to simplify the process of buying and selling real estate, and to satisfy everyone's needs to the best of my ability. My extensive experience and proven track record are factors you can count on when working with me. I use the latest technology to understand the current market and to make the connections necessary for our success. I’ve enhanced my real estate education by continual education earning the Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource certification and gaining the Accredited Buyer’s Representative designation both of which are explained below.

Short sales and foreclosures represent the new “traditional” real estate for many real estate professionals. Per the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council of the National Association of REALTORS® known as REBAC, “Knowing how to maneuver the complexities of short sales as well as how to identify the distinct real estate opportunities in foreclosure are not merely good skills to have in today’s market - they are critical.” Assisting distressed homeowners with their real estate and helping them understand their available options has become more commonplace in today’s real estate market. Not only do I work with distressed homeowners and also handle regular residential listings; but, I also work with Sun City buyers and offer my buyer clients counsel on buying short sales and foreclosed properties. Not to boast, but I must say, I am happy to have earned the Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource certification to better assist both home buyers and house sellers with local real estate.

The need to deliver top-quality buyer-representation skills in today’s more complex real estate market is imperative for those real estate professionals who truly focus on serving the needs of their buyer-clients. The Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council notes, “The Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC), an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®, to real estate practitioners who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.” There are four requirements which must be met to attain and use the ABR® designation which I have listed below.

First, candidates must complete additional education with the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) Designation Course including an 80% passing grade on the exam. Second, candidates must complete one of the ABR® elective courses including an 80% passing grade on the exam. Third, candidates must supply documentation verifying professional experience and completed transactions. Fourth, candidates must have membership in good standing in the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) and the National Association of REALTORS®
